A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the team of Haybrook College and make a real difference in the lives of Slough’s most vulnerable young people.
Haybrook College Trust educates young people aged 11 to 19 who have challenging and complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) or medical needs. We nurture, engage and educate students who face barriers to learning by providing a range of high quality educational programmes, helping to make positive changes in the lives of young people and ensuring the best possible educational outcomes.
An opportunity has arisen in our SEND team to support pupils across the college with their Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). Working closely with the Speech and Language Therapist and the SENDCo/Deputy SENDCo, you will screen pupils for SLCN and deliver targeted interventions to enable them to make progress towards their EHCP Outcomes. You will be expected to keep accurate records and record information on the College systems. Full training and support will be offered.
This is a term time role paid on the Slough Level 5 payscale (range 1 – 5). The starting salary is from Level 5.1 £22,687 (£26,377 Full Time Equivalent) pro rata for term time plus Inset Days.
The ideal candidate will be from a mainstream or special school background with a strong understanding of SEND and have excellent IT, communication, administrative and organisational skills. If you are an energetic, highly resilient and adaptable individual with excellent creativity, who can ensure challenges are met and problems are solved, then you will find this post challenging, exciting, varied and fulfilling.
