We seek to appoint two full-time Sports Assistants on an 11-month fixed-term contract from 1 September 2023 to 6 July 2024.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Sports Assistants to join our friendly and supportive PE Department within the School's beautiful 48 acre site near Guildford (GU6), in the Surrey Hills.
These exciting roles would suit a Graduate or a University Student in their 3rd year of a 4-year degree who is looking to explore a role within the Teaching Profession.
Sports assistants preferably have knowledge of rules and umpiring and personal experience of participating in at least one of the following sports: netball, football, hockey, cricket and/or rugby. Having knowledge and/or experience of coaching would be advantageous as they will officiate and assist in the teaching of sport across all age groups.
The ideal candidate will inspire enthusiasm and confidence in our students, and will be an excellent communicator and a team player. They are also keen to share ideas with colleagues, committed to lifelong learning.
On-site accommodation (self-contained, one-bedroom flat) for the duration of the contract can be offered at a very competitive rent, if required.
Applicants should evidence in the suitability section of the application form, how they meet the requirements of the role and person specification.
Please refer to the Application Pack for more information about the role, this can be found below, or on the school website:
All supporting documents, including our Application Form, Safeguarding Policy and Recruitment & Selection Policy, can also be found on the school website.
Application is by School Application Form only (please note we are unable to consider applicants on receipt of a CV alone) and should be submitted electronically by email to Rachel Harris (Head of HR & Deputy Bursar) at email@example.com.
