The Leigh Academy Tonbridge School Sports Partnership (LATonSSP) is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic Sports Development Officer to support the progression and development of physical education and school sport within the LATonSSP.
Operating from Leigh Academy Tonbridge, the successful candidate will support in the delivery of the school sport partnership PE programme, develop an extensive school sport offer and assist in the facilitation of events, festivals and community driven projects to raise standards and enhance the school’s physical activity opportunities. The role is mobile, moving between various primary schools across the West Kent area.

This is a permanent role offering an actual salary £20,208 per annum (£25,378 full time equivalent), based on 35 hours per week, Term Time only.
About LATonSSP: LATonSSP is committed to providing high quality physical education sporting opportunities across the schools within the local area. We currently work with 75 schools across Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Cranbrook supporting these schools in a number of ways that are appropriate and applicable to them.
The partnership delivers the national School Games programme, and offers a comprehensive buy-in scheme to support primary schools achieve the recommended outcomes of the PE and School Sport premium funding. The School Sports Partnership also works with National Governing Bodies and other agencies assisting the development of coaches, officials, volunteers and the wider workforce. We have earned a great reputation and constantly strive to improve on the service we deliver.

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2022, our Trust comprises 30 geographically organised academies (14 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating 20,000 students, and employing 3,000 talented staff. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway.
