Full time, average of 35 hours teaching per two week course including some evening and weekend work for between 2 and 6 weeks in the summer

The role: This summer the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) team has vacancies for teachers to join us and deliver our highly-regarded courses which run each year in July and August. We offer students a full programme of EFL tuition, along with social activities, sports and excursions in a vibrant social programme to keep the students occupied and engaged throughout the entire day. We also run ‘Plus’ elements for students wishing to learn English alongside Tennis, Sciences and Leadership.
skills: Our team come from a variety of different backgrounds, but they all have an enthusiasm and aptitude for working with children, a proactive attitude to their work and lots of energy. We provide a positive and enjoyable working environment and many of our staff have been coming back to work with us for several years. You will have a degree and experience teaching English to students for whom it is not a first language. Senior management roles may also be available for those with the DELTA or Trinity Diploma TESOL.
The EFL team are not required to undertake any activity or pastoral duties.
The environment: Harrow School is situated within a beautiful site in Harrow on the Hill, northwest London, and is one of the best-known schools in the world. Harrow School Short Courses (HSSC) is a long-standing specialist provider of junior English language study holidays for young international students aged 9 to 17. Each summer we welcome students from around 45 different countries, all of whom come on residential courses and live in Harrow School’s boarding houses.
