To start as soon as possible
We are looking for a unique individual to join our 6th Form and Vocational Department that caters to a diverse student population from across the UK, as well as other countries such as Africa, Asia, Lithuania, and Malta.
At Mary Hare we deliver a range of vocational qualifications to students of mixed ability. Animal Management and Land-Based Studies resources include a garden area, mixed woodland and a collection of small animals including chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, tortoises, geckos and dogs. We regularly visit a local school farm to work with their livestock. The position requires a flexible person who can plan and deliver lessons to small groups of deaf sixth form students, with a future possibility of delivering to younger pupils.
We currently deliver qualifications in Level 1 Land-Based Studies and BTEC (Level 2-3) in Animal Care and Animal Management. You will work with another teacher of these subjects and a technician and will be expected to deliver exciting lessons and assess and verify assignments.
An element of this role will be helping us to develop and expand our animal collection in conjunction with animal welfare requirements.
The salary is supplemented by excellent benefits including a generous pension scheme, a grade II listed building set in the lovely Snelsmore Common, free parking with canteen facilities. The position is full time, permanent.
Closing date: 4pm, Friday 30 April 2021
Please note we do not accept CV’s.
