Description

Required from September 2022 or January 2023 a graduate to teach biology throughout the School.  Academic standards are very high, facilities are excellent, and our naturally able and inquisitive pupils are a delight to teach.  The ability and willingness to assist with the wider work of the department and to help with co-curricular activities are essential.

As well as a competitive salary, well above the national scale, we offer a generous relocation package including a mortgage subsidy scheme to those moving from outside the area, discounted fees for staff children (subject to entrance criteria), private health cover and a fantastic lunch served in our dedicated staff common room area.

We are proactively committed to creating a diverse staff body, which reflects the community that we teach.  At the RGS we value diversity and inclusion; we want to attract the best people for the roles available.  This is regardless of age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, disability, socioeconomic status or religious beliefs.

Vacancy information, which gives full details of the post, can be found on the School’s website. Completed application forms, supported by a letter, should be submitted online by midday on Tuesday 10 May 2022.

The Royal Grammar School has a responsibility for and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The person appointed to this post will be required to apply for an enhanced Disclosure Certificate from the DBS.
