Description

We are seeking to appoint a highly talented individual to join our dynamic, hard-working, committed and forward-thinking team. The successful applicant will enjoy working collaboratively and will have the passion to contribute to the development of our flourishing school. We have a diverse, enthusiastic and highly supportive community of staff with a commitment to academic excellence while maintaining a first-rate provision of pastoral care.

You will need to be well-qualified and capable of teaching Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 Geography. Teaching will be approximately 0.5 of a timetable over three days a week. The ability to teach Global Perspectives is closely linked to Geography and is a desirable skill.

Contact Time 

Students at Cobham Hall are provided with 60 hours of timetabled lessons every fortnight. Staff are provided with 20% PPA. In addition, staff are expected to work up to eleven Saturdays, pro-rata, a year between 9.15am and 12.35pm.

Geography at Cobham

Geography is a popular option subject at GCSE and A Level as the Department fosters a high-quality learning and teaching environment that uses best pedagogical practice to ensure that students reach their potential with challenge and support in equal measure.

Currently, Geography sits within the Humanities Faculty, which consists of Head of Faculty, a part-time teacher of Psychology and EPQ, a part-time teacher of Business Studies and Economics, two part-time teachers of Geography, a part-time teacher of History and Politics and a part-time teacher of Global Perspectives.
