Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, the school is situated in a stunning rural location on Berkshire-Hampshire borders with easy access from Basingstoke, Reading and surrounding areas.

The History Department at The Hurst is a friendly team of committed professionals who aim to empower pupils and enrich their lives through the study of a wide a varied curriculum in Key Stage 3 and 4.

The Department regularly achieve high outcomes with GCSE results typically at 70+% Grades 4-9 and 20+% Grades 7-9. Progress made by pupils across the whole ability range is good.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our highly regarded History team in order to deliver the History curriculum. The opportunity to contribute in others areas, for example, Geography or English could be beneficial.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive school to help deliver outstanding lessons and ensure good outcomes for all of our students. Applications are welcome from ECTs as well as experienced teachers. Part-time contracts may also be considered.

The department enjoys well-equipped classrooms with projectors and sound systems.
