Description

For January 2022, we are seeking to appoint an innovative, well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Physics. The successful candidate should be a motivated and self-reflective professional who is capable of working independently and as part of a team. They would be expected to contribute to the delivery of the subject from KS3 up to A Level and participate in Science Club activities.

Science is an extremely popular and academically successful subject in the School, with many of our A Level students going on to study STEM-related subjects at top universities.

The Senior School has excellent facilities and we have small classes to enable focus on individual students who ‘have outstanding attitudes to learning and develop excellent relationships with their teachers’ (ISI 2017). A Level and GCSE results are consistently excellent, enabling most students to gain their first choice of university. Our A Level results in 2020 saw 99% grades A*-C, with 71% achieving A*-A, and at GCSE 100% grades 9-4, with 73% achieving 9-7.

We are committed to ongoing personal development and with management training and sponsored learning programmes, we can help you to achieve your professional goals. Set within almost 40 acres of beautiful grounds, Lingfield College is just 25 miles (and 40 minutes by train) from London and we offer excellent staff benefits.

The extra-curricular programme at Lingfield is exciting and extensive and all teachers are expected to contribute to it. Accommodation on site may be available for the first year. Applications are equally welcomed from newly qualified and experienced teachers and those from the state and independent sectors.

Closing date: 9am, Monday 9 August 2021

We will consider applications as they are received and therefore reserve the right to close the vacancy earlier than the date stated should we successfully appoint to this role.

Lingfield College is committed to safeguarding our children. The successful candidate will be required to provide an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service. At Lingfield College we uphold fundamental British values and expect all employees to do the same.
