We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified graduate to teach Physics throughout the School including A level and Oxbridge preparation. The successful candidate will have a good degree in Physics, or a relevant discipline and possess excellent subject knowledge. This position would suit an experienced teacher looking for a fresh challenge, someone looking for their first move, or an ECT. The ideal candidate will be someone who can support and challenge a range of students in an effective and engaging manner.
The Physics Department at Mayfield is dynamic, stimulating and high achieving. There are three well-equipped Physics laboratories on the middle floor of the Science block. Teaching is supported by a team of experienced and dedicated technicians. Physics is a forward looking department, keen to implement pedagogical theory in lessons as well as being a leading proponent of the latest digital technology. Girls regularly go on to achieve outstanding results, and the department has a proven track records of girls going on to study engineering, Sciences, medicine and mathematics at Universities around the world.
