The ideal candidate will be someone who is able to encourage and nurture informed and independent thought in every student. The successful candidate could be an experienced teacher looking for a fresh challenge, or someone seeking their first teaching role, either as an ECT or as part of an initial teacher training programme (ITT).

The RS Department is important and influential in the School; working with colleagues of all disciplines, the Chaplaincy and the Headmistress to promote the ethos of the School and supporting a vibrant, diverse community of boarders and day girls.

Mayfield is a leading Catholic Independent boarding and day School for girls aged 11-18 situated in beautiful East Sussex countryside, less than 50 miles from London and 40 minutes from Gatwick. The School is an inclusive international community with a tradition of academic achievement and a holistic approach to education. We welcome applications from equally diverse and creative teachers. Results are excellent at both GCSE and A Level, with girls going on to study at Oxbridge and the best Russell Group universities. In addition we offer a vibrant and eclectic extra-curricular provision and have an enviable reputation for pastoral care.

We offer excellent working conditions in an outstanding environment. Mayfield has its own salary scale and the salary package for this position will reflect the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. All staff are expected to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the School. Accommodation is available for those involved in the boarding life of the School.
