Description

We require a committed colleague with a real passion for the provision of quality and imaginative teaching to join an experienced, supportive and high achieving Science Department Faculty. We specifically require a biologist, but you will be teaching sciences across Key stage 3 and key stage 4. An interest in and an ability to teach psychology to A Level would be advantageous.

We warmly welcome applications from ECTs looking for their first appointment as well as more experienced practitioners. As the lead school for the Möbius Maths Hub and regional centre for Teaching School Hub Berkshire, Willink can offer the successful candidate unrivalled professional development and subject leadership opportunities.

The Willink is a successful and oversubscribed school with a strong international ethos, listed in the top ten non-selective schools in Berkshire in 2019. The school has 1250 students on roll including 220 in the Sixth Form, and is situated in a pleasant semi-rural setting south west of Reading.

For further information please visit the school website or contact Mrs Lin Bailey, Business Support Manager, aluacesfernandez@willink.w-berks.sch.uk , Tel 0118 983 2030. For an informal conversation contact Head of Science, Ruth Kellaway rkellaway@willink.w-berks.sch.uk

The closing date for final applications is Monday 12 June 2023, however we are likely to conduct interviews as early applications are received.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicants will be required to apply for an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Further information can be found at www.homeoffice.gov.uk

Only registered members can apply for jobs.
