Description

Required for September 2023. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring and dedicated teacher of Science with a Physics specialism to join a dynamic, strong and supportive team. Candidates wishing to apply should have a passion for their subject and the ability to teach Physics to GCSE and A Level. Applications from experienced teachers and NQTs will be considered.

Our students routinely achieve excellent results. In 2022, 86% of students achieved grade 4+ in GCSE Combined Science, 93% in GCSE Biology, 90% in GCSE Chemistry and 93% in GCSE Physics. Biology, Physics and Chemistry are popular at A Level and many students go on to study Science at university.

Ranelagh is an 11-18 coeducational, Anglican Academy which is oversubscribed and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement and positive school ethos. The school has had four ‘outstanding’ OFSTED reports, with Grade 1 across all areas, but we are not complacent and as such the provision for professional learning and development is something of which we are all very proud.

This post may be suitable for an ECT. Potential candidates may also wish to know that our admissions policy enables the school to prioritise the admission of children of staff recruited to posts in which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.

If you have a very good knowledge and understanding of the subject and you are an excellent teacher looking to develop your career in a supportive and progressive environment, we would welcome an application from you. Opportunities for personal development are excellent.

If you are interested in learning more about the position, please contact the Headteacher via the School Office on 01344 421233 or by email.

Details of the post are also available on the school website.

Closing date: 12pm, Wednesday 7 December 2022

Please also note that applications may be considered on receipt.

The school reserves the right to close this advert early in the event that sufficient applications have been received.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. All staff employed in the school must be aware that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be undertaken.

Only registered members can apply for jobs.
