About the role: The Leigh Academy has an exciting and rare opportunity to appoint an inspirational and outstanding Teacher of Spanish to join our Modern Foreign Languages faculty from September 2021. This role is ideal for those seeking to inspire students at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 and also inspire our team of dedicated, talented and experienced staff. We are seeking a practitioner of Spanish who is seeking a part-time opportunity (2 days per week).
The Leigh Academy is part of the DfE MFL Hub project led by Rachel Hawkes and her team at the University of York and in partnership with the NCELP (National Centre for Excellence in Language Pedagogy), along with three other academies in the Leigh Academies Trust. Working with us provides you with access to high quality, ready to use CPD in your classroom and to take part in a national project on practice and research, which has the aim of raising GCSE uptake. Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2020, our Trust will comprise 28 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 15 primaries and 2 special) educating over 16,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff.
