We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly skilled Design Technology Technician.

The Technology Department is a vibrant area of the school where students create high quality products from a range of materials and where staff are enthusiastic to support them.

The successful candidate will assist teachers and students in the smooth running, demonstration and organisation of practical activities across the department, as well as monitoring the implementation of the department’s Health and Safety policy. Other duties will include regular auditing, machine health and safety checks and ordering of materials, tools and equipment and the organisation of all department resources.

The Technology department is very well equipped with a range of industrial specification systems, including: CAM equipment such as a laser cutter and 3D printer. The department has a wide range of mechanical systems for example: circular saw, band saws, scroll saws, pillar drills and sanding machines. The Technology department works within a wide range of resistant and more compliant materials but especially timber based materials.
