Hendon School is an ‘Outstanding’ popular, inclusive multi-cultural school with a commitment to the highest quality teaching and learning. We are passionate about education; students not only achieve outstanding exam results but experience an exceptional community programme. Many students have won local and national awards for their contributions to society.

We are looking to recruit well qualified and talented staff who will complement and add to a dynamic team and who have all the right attributes to make a valid contribution to the wider life of the school and ensure that students are making the right progress.

A subject specialism in Maths or Science is needed and the right candidate would be keen to teach one/both of these disciplines across Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5 either on a 1-1 basis or in small groups. There is considerable flexibility to make this role fit the right person however, and support is available to allow for in-post development. A part time fraction could also be considered.

We welcome applicants who are recent Graduates or those looking to embark on Teacher Training. This role will provide you with first hand exposure to working in a school setting. If this is of interest to you, please include this in your supporting statement so that a member of the panel can discuss it with you in more detail.

Please be aware that interviews may be conducted on a rolling basis, therefore, we strongly encourage early applications to avoid disappointment.

We are seeking someone who:

  • is able to demonstrate a track record of effective teaching.
  • is able to demonstrate that they can work with individual pupils to progress their learning in Maths and Science.
  • Will be a role model in all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Has the determination to raise student achievement.
  • Has good team skills.

Closing date: Noon, Thursday 13 May 2021

Interviews will take place the week beginning 17 May 2021

Candidates must complete the School Application Form, which can be accessed on our website or via TES.

Completed application forms should be returned by email.

Please Note: CVs will not be considered.

We can only accept applicants who have the right to work in the UK.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. All successful applicants will be required to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS prior to appointment.

Only registered members can apply for jobs.
