About the role

Visiting Music Teachers work under the guidance of the Director of Music, assisted by the Head of Piano, Head of Strings, Head of Singing, and Music Administrator, in order to provide the best possible instrumental tuition and to promote musical activity throughout the College.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the majority of the following skills, experience or attributes:
- An accomplished singer, preferably with either a performer’s diploma or extensive professional performing experience.
- An experienced teacher of high-achieving students. A degree in music is also desirable.
- Literacy and IT skills sufficient for writing reports and other administrative tasks.
- A good team-player, willing to help out where necessary in a busy department.
- The ability to manage and organise time effectively to meet the demands of the school week.
- Reliability, honesty, and a professional attitude to all aspects of their work.
- A genuine concern for the well-being and education (especially musical education) of their pupils.
